Workshop Session B -Saturday – Nov. 4 – 10:30am – 12 noon

SESSION B-1:

Keynote Follow Up:  Pedro Rublacava will answer questions flowing from his morning keynote.  Take this opportunity to understand their ideas on a deeper level.

SESSION B-2:

Hula:  Kumu Hula Maelia Lobestein-Carter teaches the deeper significance of the hula..  Learn the religious origins of the hula and how hula can be a great way to inculturate Christian prayer with native Hawaiian values.

SESSION B-3:

Scripture:  Mary Louise Bringle sheds new light on Scripture and demonstrates the ecumenical dimensions of this Sacred Word for all people.

SESSION B-4:

Working Together As One – Level II:  Tony Alonso and Chris DeSilva continue the ideas introduced by Anna Bettencourt in Session A.  Just as a variety of seeming unrelated notes can create a chord, so too the different aspects of our liturgical ensembles can come together to create exquisite prayer experience.

SESSION B-5:

The Liturgical Cantor: Ana Bettancourt will demonstrate the techniques and poise needed when carryoing out the role of the cantor in liturgical prayer.  Learn how to overcome nerves and lead the faithful in song.
